Navigation is horrible

My low rating of this E-book is not about the text, which I enjoy (With the exception of the author's insistence upon using the modern name Jesus in the New Testament rather than the conventional names such as Yeshua, or Yeshu as is found in the Talmud). Rather my dismay is about the abysmal search capabilities and the fact that it crashes my Android with frequent searches...thus necessitating closure of the application. I have a powerful phone with tons of available resources. But, this program crashes it (which no other program has done in the year that I have owned it!).

My other perplexity with this ebook is its searching convention. You'll have to guess what that is from book to book i.e. Genesis is GN but Matthew is MT. So, Peter must be PT, right? WRONG! And Ezekiel must then be Ez or Ek right? WRONG! It is EZK! . And then if you are lucky enough to actually get a desired search result, and it happens to be in the middle of the text (not near the beginning of the chapter) other than the numbers within the chapter, there is NOTHING to indicate where in the book you are! There are no chapter identifiers per page. You will have to know by osmosis that Location 24393 is Ezekiel 42 verse 4. I obtained this information having searched for Matt 17:14 unsuccessfully and landing in Ezk 42! Since I wanted to check my location, I had to flip pages until I came to a chapter heading. Don't ask me HOW I landed in Ezekiel!

Frustration doesn't begin to describe navigating this text which would otherwise be a JOY to read. Unfortunately, this will be a deal-breaker as to whether I use this text any further. NOTE TO AUTHOR: Ease of use is key in an app.

Only ebook I cannot access.

I can never get to the chapter I need. (i.e. I wanted to look at Psalm 1. When I tap on Psalm 1, nothing happens. It freezes up. I have yet to get to what I want to read/study. This is the only ebook I have problems with. I usually end up closing out Kindle because I can't do anything else. I then have to wait a while to go back into Kindle to close it out) I enjoy the paperback New Testament. I purchased this so I can have the complete book but to no avail. Will this ever be fixed? If not, I'm removing it. Would like to get the complete text in paper or hardback whenever available again.

A great horror story but buy it in a collection

The Room in the Tower [Kindle Edition]

E.F. Benson (1867 - 1940) is one of my favorite supernatural authors in spite of his rampant misogyny. He was the son of the Archbishop of Canterbury so he comes by his ghosts and his religion naturally. He was one of the lucky few Cambridge scholars who was invited to listen to the great M.R. James read his annual supernatural story during the Christmas season. He was an athlete as well as a scholar, and represented England in figure skating.

"The Room in the Tower"--A man's recurrent nightmare comes true when he spends a weekend with an old school friend and is given a room in the tower. This is one of my top fifty greatest ghost stories.

Great for Piano Beginners!

The John W. Schaum Piano series is an excellent way to introduce children to the piano. Geared to the early grade school level, A-The Red Book is a follow-up to Pre-A-The Green Book. All the piano books in this series feature colorful illustrations, easy-to-read notes, and simple hand positions. The book progresses from very simple melodies at the start to more complex "melody and chord" songs at the end. Children love to sing along as they play the notes. I have found this to be a great way to for younger kids to learn to read music and begin their study of the piano.

Simon Yeo has trained in martial arts for more than 30 years and has practiced Judo, Kyokushin Karate, Tai Chi, Pk Mei King Fu, Tae Kwon Do, traditional Jiu Jitsu, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.�He has studied Bujinkan Ninjutsu under the Ninja Grand Master, Masaaki Hatsumi, and holds a 10th degree black belt in this art.���

Great Ninjutsu book

This is a must have for the ninja library.

Why?

Many ninja books spend the first few chapters telling you about the history of the ninja and the Ryu and the things that a ninja was classically trained in. While that is good information - this book doesn't waste your time repeating what everyone else tells you about.

This book was useful to me in three ways.
1. It had an emphasis on the spiritual and personal development of ninjutsu. This is a subject sorely lacking in all martial arts books - especially in Ninjutsu because its not a straight cross over to Zen Buddhism... Plus its put in plain english, in modern application and terms, so you're not left guessing how to interpret the instruction.

2. This book debunks the stretching mythos and gives some good advice on how to improve flexibility and the why's and hows of why one method works over the other. It was good to see a book that was not afraid to go away from what everyone else says and stand out.

3. This is a book - so when a physical technique is described its hard to get the sense of how to do it. This book goes to great length to describe a technique in detail and then show you the pictures. It also tells you what to look out for when you are performing the said technique.

This book is written from a Bujinkan perspective but is useful for any Ninjutsu practitioner. This is a book that I would recommend to add to your collection! A must read.
