It's a novel ~ but much more.
It will lead you to examine many of your own perceptions and re-evaluate some. It's one of the best books I've ever read.
I've read all three of your books, The Harvest, The Aegis Solution, and Time Cursor.
You have a truly creative mind and see far beyond the author main stream. I certainly could never touch you in your genre.

An interesting read

Thanks to Amazon Prime I grabbed this book as my month of February read. I had read Time Cursor prior to this book in January and enjoyed it and wanted to grab something else from John David Krygelski. I was pleasantly surprised by the deep theological, philosophical, and scientific discourse throughout the book, it was certainly intriguing. This book will certainly get anyone thinking no matter their religious background or non-religious background. I can also see how some would be 'offended' by this piece of fiction. It is certainly not a Christian book, and that should be known going into it. The author melds the majority of the world's religions excluding Islam into the god portrayed in The Harvest.
If you are looking for a book that will make you think, this is a good choice. If you are Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, Hindu, or an Athiest and can't handle fiction that does not reflect God as you believe Him to be, you may want to avoid this book.

Incredibly well-written religious thriller

I ended up reading this book in approximately two-three days. I could not put it down. Although this book is labeled as fiction, the story is laced with scientific facts and probable events. Never has a book previously engaged me and my beliefs as much as The Harvest. This book is about right and wrong, good versus evil, and why we're here. With so many negative events happening in the world today, this books enters our lives at just the right time. Krygelski is a literary genius, and I can't wait until his next book comes out!!!
PROS: Really well written; Engaging; Filled with scientific facts about physics and astronomy; Religious thriller that doesn't push one religion over another; Great, believable characters; Will challenge or reassure your thoughts about the Creator of the universe and how we should conduct our lives.
CONS: You need to dedicate a few days to read this because you won't be able to put it down; you may end up changing some of your fundamental beliefs; the line between fiction and non-fiction may become blurred!

A thrilling page-turner!

Great book! This novel attempts to explain heaven and hell, physics and time, creation, man's place in the universe, love and hate, and well, just about everything. And it does a great job wrapping all that in a thrilling storyline that keep me up waaaaay too late at night reading! But aside from the dramatic storyline, The Harvest was believable and thought-provoking, so much so that even after I finally turned off the light to go to sleep, I'd stay up thinking about what I had just read. I'd recommend this book for everyone, regardless of creed, since the book doesn't declare a "right" religion, but that morality and character are what the Creator truly values. Exciting ending too...buy it, you won't regret it.
