He now lives in Los Angeles with his lovely wife, Dr. Andrea Richards, enjoying periodic visits from their now grown children, generating almost all his own electricity from clean, silent solar panels, raising backyard tomatoes, working on the next volume of this series, and teaching psychology online as well as on site for a myriad of universities. Interesting Examples of Psychology at Work

Dr Richards is very knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics and I particularly like the aspect of explaining the likely behavior of individuals or function of a group due to psychological makeup. Being human if you like and how this plays out in a number of roles; science, language, punishment, mental illness, brain function and statistics. I've purchased his next book, More Psychology in Plain English and hope to be similarly "positively reinforced" for my purchase.

Psychologically awesome!!!

I took a class with this professor, which totally rocked! So imagine my glee when I found he'd written this book! I bought this and the sequel, literally started reading this one immediately, and couldn't put it down until I was done! Considering I bought it yesterday, that should tell you something! Already I've facebooked about it, messaged friends and family about it, and am already planning on buying more copies to give away! This is a fun, easy, and yet informative read that even non-psychology majors can totally grasp and it makes it VERY apparent as to why psychology can be interesting and exciting. Thanks, Dr. Richards! I'll DEFINITELY be passing this on!

A Good Achievement

Very easy to understand and a good book for understanding Psychology basics. It is specific where it needs to be and it is to the point a no nonsense approach to understanding the mind and why we humans tend to do what we humans tend to do. A good read, simple, easy and informative.
