A book that tells the truth about teaching in an urban school . . . and yet you'll laugh!

An honest, yet humorous, depiction of what really goes on in an urban school. This is not one of those super-teacher-turns-the-school-around books, thank goodness! All teachers can relate to the frustration, chaos, heartbreak, gratification, and hilarity that makes up the crazy world of education. This would be a great gift for a teachers, but also for folks who think they know what goes on in schools, but haven't a clue.

It is so refreshing to hear from a teacher who isn't spouting the PARTY LINE. This is a must read for teachers, especially those in the trenches. Throughout the honest chapters, one can see Linda Ball's love of her profession as a deep devotion to her students.
